Cavtat is the urban centre of the regional and where Konavle area sightseeing first starts. Its harmonious architecture is clearly identified with affiliation to the Dubrovnik Republic.Cavtat lies between Dubrovnik and Konavle, where everyone can enjoy the tranquillity of the bay area, take long walks along the beach or enjoy one of the many sports and recreation, entertainment and cultural programs that are offered. 

Cavtat is possibly the most famous place in Konavle and it is on the coast at the beginning of the region. Located on the Rat peninsula, it has a gorgeous waterfront lined with palm trees and has been described by writers as closely resembling the seafront in Saint Tropez. A handful of good bars and restaurants and a great walk along a winding coastal path to the Racic mausoleum on the hill for fantastic views across the bay.

Konavle, one of the most beautiful natural areas in Croatia, with a rich rural tradition, offers truly unique experiences, from winery tours to wine and olive oil tastings, to village crafts and delicious local specialties at traditional restaurants. This area of farms, vineyards and stone houses, welcome all the hosts who are search for local tradition or way of life.Konavle is the old agricultural area of the Dubrovnik Riviera – a traditionally very rich area of Dubrovnik and many old families still have old family houses here. It is fast becoming the "gastro-agro-tourism” part of the coast boasting some of the best domestic restaurants in the area.
There are excellent walking trails (with or without a guide), horseriding from the Koral stables across olive groves and farmland plus a coastal ride (great views), biking and sometimes visitors can go out fishing with the local fishermen from Molunat.
